The DCTC Inc AGM was well attended at the great and latest new venue in town - the Surf Club.
Although only 2 written nominations for committee positions were received prior to the meeting, nearly all positions were filled, and with enthusiasm! It was wonderful to see so much optimism on the night and we look forward to it continuing!
Introducing your new DCTC executive committee members:
Vice president - Jennie Ryan
Secretary - Georgia Hughes
Treasurer - Marisa Kapetanakis
Membership/Publicity - Lisa Brown
The position of President is still vacant and we are hopeful this will be filled in the very near future.
The Destination Marketing committee currently comprises Katherine Mergard, Paul Minichbauer, Gordon Christian, Lisa Brown and Robert Moore with a couple more having indicated keen interest.
The Captain Cook 1770 Festival committee is off to a great start with committee currently of Cheryl Wickes, Gassan Sangari, Marisa Kapetanakis, Janelle Fielding and Warren Kuskopf, with plans well underway for a great festival in 2011.
The Gladstone Regional Council Liaison Committee sees John Barrow, Mark Hulst and Alan Lawry returned, and the GREDS delegates Peter Hoffman, John Barrow and Gordon Christian also continuing.
The Sustainable Regions Cluster Group has Gordon Christian, Janelle Fielding, Katherine Mergard, Gassan Sangari, Lisa Brown and Georgia Hughes all excited to see this through.
The Backpacker Committee has Lisa Brown, Katherine Mergard and Robert Moore for starters, and Ken Martin has graciously agreed to be the returning officer for the 2011 AGM - a big thank you to Ken for acting as returning officer again this year! |
